Ronaldo will not travel to Barcelona and miss Espanyol
MADRID (Reuters) - Cristiano Ronaldo will not be on the side of Barcelona's side to face Espanyol on Tuesday, the Spanish daily Marca confirmed.
The Spanish newspaper said that Cristiano Ronaldo will remain in Madrid and will not travel to Barcelona to face Espanyol, where he will rest before the match against Paris St Germain in the Champions League.
Real Madrid are set to face Espanyol on Tuesday evening in the Spanish league, before Getafe face Santiago Bernabeu on Saturday in the 28th round.
The paper did not mention Ronaldo's participation in the Getafe game, but he confirmed his absence from the game for the rest before the meeting of Paris Saint-Germain expected.
Real Madrid travel to the French capital to face Paris Saint-Germain on March 6 in the Champions League final leg.
